They were invited to the stage and received a small gift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The people recognized were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Sunday School<\/strong> <strong>Teachers <\/strong>&#8211; Katie Weber, Nina Wiebalk, and Courtney Jacobs (aide)<br><\/li><li><strong>Nursery Workers<\/strong> &#8211; Ginger Rogers, Joanne Brown, Sue Gourley, Vanessa Bruce, Pam Lakits, Bev Nemit, Kelly Opferman, and Aimee Zosky<br><\/li><li><strong>Kid\u2019s Time Helper<\/strong> &#8211; Debbie Mazzeo<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pastor Herb noted how these volunteers make the church a welcoming environment to families with infants and young children.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve always found New Song to be a welcoming place for parents with young children,\u201d said church member Greg Latshaw, a father of two. \u201cNobody is ever shushing you or giving dirty looks if your kid makes a little bit of noise during the service. In fact, this is one of the things that drew me here, since I can\u2019t say the same thing about other churches I\u2019ve been to.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsongpittsburgh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/IMG_0479-scaled.jpg\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.newsongpittsburgh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/IMG_0479-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5246\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For young families, New Song offers multiple kid-centered experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a Sunday school class held from 9 &#8211; 9:45 a.m. before the service called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsongpittsburgh.org\/?page_id=4765\">New Song KIDS<\/a>. Meant for children from ages 5-11, the program teaches the Bible in a fun and age-appropriate way.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the worship service, parents have the option of placing their infants in the church nursery. The nursery is a safe and secure environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsongpittsburgh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/church-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"http:\/\/www.newsongpittsburgh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/church-3-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.newsongpittsburgh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/church-3-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.newsongpittsburgh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/church-3-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.newsongpittsburgh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/church-3-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.newsongpittsburgh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/church-3-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.newsongpittsburgh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/church-3.jpg 2016w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, children are invited to participate in each worship service for Kid\u2019s Time.
